$735K Secured in Victim Services Funding for Afro/Indo LGBTQ+ Communities
This award moves CEP beyond fragmented or short-term victim support and provides the resources to build a multi-year, institutionalized service infrastructure. For communities that can face cultural stigma, language barriers, distrust of traditional systems, discrimination, and limited access to identity-affirming services, the investment strengthens CEP’s ability to operate as a trusted bridge between survivors and the broader victim-service ecosystem. This win demonstrates DTC’s ability to help community-rooted organizations translate their lived expertise and existing community trust into fundable, operational service models. Our work helped frame CEP’s approach around staffing, service workflows, measurable outcomes, referral systems, performance management, and long-term implementation, not simply around the need for funding.
