Building the Infrastructure to Scale With Public Funding

DTC’s engagement with City Mission extends beyond securing funding. As the organization builds deeper relationships with New York City and New York State, DTC advises leadership on how to scale the institution behind the programs—ensuring that staffing, financial resources, internal systems, and organizational capacity grow alongside new public-sector opportunities.

This includes advising on people allocation, resource allocation, operational infrastructure, and long-term growth strategy. DTC helps City Mission assess how staff, leadership, consultants, and financial resources should be deployed across programs, administration, compliance, development, and expansion so that growth is supported by the right internal structure.

This work is especially important as City Mission moves further into government-funded programming, which brings increased expectations around program delivery, financial management, reporting, compliance, staffing, and organizational oversight. By strengthening the infrastructure behind the funding, DTC helps City Mission convert new resources and government relationships into sustainable institutional growth rather than short-term program expansion.
