$60M+ Secured for AAPI Community Organizations
DTC was contracted by the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) to provide government relations, policy advocacy, and strategic support around New York City investment in AAPI serving community based organizations. Across two consecutive fiscal years, the coalition’s advocacy contributed to securing more than $30 million annually, resulting in more than $60 million in cumulative public investment supporting nonprofit programs and direct services across New York City.
DTC helped connect technical budget analysis with a coordinated funding strategy. This included analyzing City budget and allocation information, identifying funding priorities and disparities, developing recommendations, preparing organizations for government engagement, and helping translate shared community needs into specific public investment priorities. The work ensured that advocacy was grounded not only in the need for greater investment, but in an understanding of how City resources were being distributed and where gaps remained.
The result demonstrated the value of connecting policy analysis, coalition coordination, government relations, and community advocacy around a shared funding agenda. Rather than pursuing individual organizational requests in isolation, DTC helped support a broader strategy focused on strengthening public investment in the AAPI nonprofit ecosystem and the community services those organizations provide.
