Managed 100+ AAPI Nonprofit Coalition

Working alongside CACF, DTC helped support and coordinate a coalition of more than 100 AAPI organizations across New York City. The engagement required bringing together organizations with different populations, programs, geographic service areas, and institutional capacities around a shared advocacy agenda focused on strengthening resources for AAPI communities.

DTC helped execute two annual citywide Advocacy Weeks, government and stakeholder briefings, meetings with New York City Council offices and policymakers, rallies, public actions, press engagement, and broader organizational mobilization. Behind those activities was a significant amount of coalition infrastructure, including advocacy planning, development of shared priorities, budget and funding analysis, talking points, briefing materials, organizational coordination, and preparation for government meetings.

The work helped transform individual organizational priorities into a more coordinated citywide voice. By connecting budget analysis, coalition alignment, government engagement, grassroots participation, and public mobilization, DTC helped strengthen the coalition’s ability to engage government collectively and demonstrate the scale, reach, and shared needs of AAPI serving organizations across New York City.
