Management Advisory To Absorb and Scale Public Contracts

DTC’s work recognized that successfully advocating for more public funding is only one part of strengthening the AAPI nonprofit ecosystem. As organizations receive larger government investments, they also face greater responsibilities around program delivery, staffing, operations, financial management, compliance, communications, reporting, and organizational oversight. Without corresponding institutional growth, increased funding can create new operational pressures rather than sustainable expansion.

DTC therefore advised organizations on the capacity required to grow alongside public investment. This included strengthening program models and service delivery infrastructure, evaluating internal operations and systems, improving how organizations communicate their impact and funding needs, and helping leadership think strategically about how additional resources could support sustainable organizational development rather than temporary program expansion.

The engagement connected both sides of public investment. DTC helped support advocacy for increased resources while also helping organizations become better positioned to pursue, manage, deploy, and demonstrate the impact of those resources. This created a broader capacity building strategy in which increased government investment could contribute not only to additional programming, but to stronger institutions capable of sustaining and expanding their work over time.
