Developing Advocacy and Policy Frameworks

DTC helps organize and execute CEP’s annual advocacy and lobby days, developing the strategic infrastructure behind the meetings themselves. This includes advocacy strategy, policy materials, government briefing documents, meeting preparation, talking points, campaign messaging, stakeholder coordination, and follow up planning. DTC also participates in government meetings alongside CEP to provide strategic and policy support.

The engagement ensures that lobby days are not treated as isolated visits with elected officials. Each advocacy effort is connected to broader organizational priorities and supported by research, community experience, policy analysis, defined requests, and communications materials. DTC also develops campaign decks and advocacy assets that allow CEP to present complex programmatic, policy, funding, and community priorities in a clear and compelling format.

This creates a more durable advocacy infrastructure in which government meetings contribute to longer term policy development, public funding strategy, coalition engagement, institutional relationships, and organizational growth. Rather than simply raising awareness, CEP enters government conversations with evidence, defined priorities, and a strategy for what should happen after the meeting.
