Managing a $500K+ New York State Assembly Campaign From Strategy to Election Day
DTC operated as the campaign’s central management infrastructure, responsible for translating the campaign’s strategy into an executable operation. This included budget development and execution, fundraising coordination, staff management, volunteer management, office administration, vendor and resource coordination, scheduling, internal workflows, and overall campaign execution. With more than 30 paid staff and 100 volunteers, DTC helped create the management systems necessary to coordinate a large team across multiple campaign functions while maintaining alignment with leadership priorities.
DTC also managed major voter facing components of the campaign. This included developing and executing field programs, volunteer mobilization, social media, campaign communications, graphic and digital content, press relations, public relations, and the endorsement process. Field operations were coordinated with communications and campaign priorities so that canvassing, voter contact, events, digital content, earned media, and organizational outreach operated as parts of the same campaign strategy rather than independent workstreams.
The engagement demonstrated DTC’s ability to operate beyond a traditional consulting role and assume responsibility for the management of an entire campaign organization. By connecting fundraising, budgeting, personnel, volunteers, field, communications, press, endorsements, and office operations under one management structure, DTC helped build and operate the infrastructure required to execute a large scale New York State legislative campaign from strategy through implementation.
